To the Governor and Council of the State of Maine
It being generally understood that Major Sawtelle the present Sheriff of this County will be removed I take the liberty to recommend the appointment of Major John Moor or Capt Benjamin Adams to that office the appoint of either of those gentlemen I think will be sattisfactory to the problem, in my opinion as any other.-
