potatoes, so that all measures used in measuring potatoes, shall be strictly by that standard; and when ever potatoes, shall be bought and sold and either the vender or vendor shall request it, then the measure of said potatoes shall be ascertained by weight. The Senate nonconcur with the House in the reference of said order and refer the same to the Committee on Agriculture. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.  

On motion of Mr. Chandler. Ordered, that the Joint Standing Committee on Banks, and Banking be instructed to inquire into the expediency of providing by law, that the Acts of Incorporation or Chaters of all Banks, passed or granted prior to the 17th of March A.D. 1837, which may be hereafter modified, or the amount of their Capital Stock increased on the application of the President, Directors or Stockholders thereof, shall at all times thereafter be liable to be amended, altered or repeated, at the pleasurer of the Legislature, in the same manner as if an express provision to that effect were therein contained -- read and passed.
