a deserter is now in a harness makers
shop at Lewiston. Augustus Caswell
is said to be at Belgrade if he
returns he will be made sure of
G.W. Pratt belongs to New Vineyard
shall look to him tomorrow
Eben A Keen I learn nothing
of as yet, probably shall today.
That notorious Sawyer of
Phillip that threatens death to
any man that attempts to arrest
him, was arrested a few days
ago in Stealing, the matter was
hushed up and he is now at
large. I sent a Dep Sherriff after him [inserted[
Tuesday but the fellow was not
to be found. I wish you would
write Aaron Hanneford Dep Sheriff
of this Town to assist me in these
cases. He is a fearless man and
will put more [underlined] fellows [underlined] through. [underlined]
