CHARGES - STATE OF MAINE RED CROSS RELIEF PARTY
G. McL. Presson, Adjö. Gen'l, Augusta, Maine.
Dear Sir:
Confirming telephone conversation of yesterday, would state we have advice from the Canadian Government Rys. stating that the American Red Cross did not care to assume charges of the movement of the Maine Red Cross Relief party to Halifax and they felt that the State of Maine should stand the charge. under the circumstances we are arranging to bill the State of Maine to cover the charge of $229.69 and as suggested will arrange to forward this bill with detailed statement of tickets furnished direct to Governor Milliken and trust that same will be put promptly in the way of payment in order that the Cana- dian Government Rys. may receive proper credit for the transportation furnished.
