The Board of Governors of The Halifax Ladies College at a meeting held on the 31st of December unanimously desire to place on record their deep sense of indebtedness to, and their high appreciation of the splendid efforts and though efficiency of Major Elliot O.C. and The Maine Military Unit in establishing and maintaining The Maine Military Unit Hospital in The Halifax Ladies College for the relief of sufferers of the appalling disaster of the 6th of December 1917.
