My dear General: -

Just a line this evening we are located and doing business since yesterday noon. Col Bell gave us two days to get ready and we had accommodations for 20 at noon and fifty at night; and today we have completed the [?] and are ready for 200 the capacity of the house. We have 12 regular nurses from Ontario and 3 V.A.D's from here also 4 orderlies from the Barracks have 8 bed patients and have treated something like 50 cases that have come in, have a dressing station (#5) in charge of Dr Hill. The people in the neighborhood of the station think he is a wonder and other Dr's have been at the various hospitals especially Camp Hill, assisting. I have delivered our carr[?] Puffs and Blankets have the others here in the house and and giving out to social workers ok'd for people who are destitute. I am not trying to take receipts for anything except in large lots as it would necessitate too much bookkeeping we know these goods are being placed where they are doing good. Congestion is about the same as when you left hope it will be better soon. Everybody is well and busy. Will write again in a day or two if you so desire. looks as though we would be here two to four weeks I'll stay until I find I am in the way and can't be of any more use. Yours, W.C.G.
