The President of the U.S. of America [last two words crossed out] to the Marshall of the District of Maine Greetings~

Whereas at a district Court of the United States of America ~ begun and held at Portland, within and for the district of Maine on the first Tuesday of June Instant T.B. late Resident at Bristol in the Kingdom of G. Britain, Mariner was Convicted of piratically feloniously Wilfully & of his malice [? abbreviation for "aforethought] Killing and murdering of a one J.C. on the high seas ~ and then and there was thereupon Sentenced to be hung by the neck until he was dead on Friday the 25th. day of June ~ instant at the usual place of Ex [execution]

As by the Record of the same court appear. We command you therefore that upon Friday the 25 day of June you convey the said T.B. + H.H. from the Gaol in Portland where they are [?] and that you cause Execution to be done upon the said T.B. + H.H. in your county in all things and [?] to the Judgement [?] and of this Writ with your doing thence you are to make return into our district of Maine to be at Portland on the first Tuesday of September.
