Genl J.L. Hodsdon Dear Sir,
Your letter of Jany 31st came duly to hand, but not the commissions of Garnsey, Staples, and Forbes, which you will immediately forward - In relation to filling up this Regiment to the Army standard, I will say, that I shall need three hundred (300) men in the course of a month - This is not only the desire of myself, but the Brig and Division General are very anxious to see this a full Regiment I hope you will make this your especial business and without fail give me three hundred recruits in the course of a month - I remain
