Benjn Gates Company C No Norman's Regt in 1777 I entered again into Capt NJ [?] Gates' Company and Col Rufus Putnams Regt and served as Sergt Major untill about Nov I then assd on [?] [?] and abou tthe year 1779 was appointed and [?] as Lieut and was Lieut and [?] of said Regt untill the close of the war - in 1783.
