December 21, 1917.
M.L. Harris. General Passenger Agent, Maine Central R.R. Co., Portland, Maine.
My dear Sir:
In reply to your communication of December 19th referring to our conversation regarding the matter of providing the Maine doctors of the medical unit at Halifax with return transportation bag to state that Captain William C. Goodwin is the Quartermaster now with the military unit at Halifax and any request he may make for transportation for the return of these doctors or men will be hon- ored by this office, both transportation and pullman tickets.
This will confirm our conversation today by phone regarding transportation arrangements for Drs. Poulin and Gousse from Water- ville and Dr. Bradford at Rockland to Halifax, which should include pullman tickets. I hope they will be given return transportation as I think it would safe a great deal of trouble later.
Yours sincerely, The Adjutant General.
