To all whom it may concern Know Ye That Loring C. Records a private of Capt G.P. Cochrains Co K Seventh Regiment of Maine Vols who was Enrolled on the 5th day of August 1861 To serve Three years is hereby Discharged from the Service of the U.S. this 31st day of December 1861 at camp Griffin Va by reason of Surgeons Certificate of Disability

[next paragraph] Said Loring C. Records was born in Turner in the State of Maine is Twenty Six years of Age 5 feet 9 inches high Light Complexion Blue Eyes Brown hair and by occupation when Enrolled a Farmer Given at Camp Griffin this 31st day of December 1861 E. C. Mason Col 7th Maine Vols

The above named Loring C. Records was taken sick with Typhoid Fever + Measles and left with a bad cough, for which reason he was Discharged - he is now able to work the most of the time - I have ordered him to report at August immediately E.B. Lovejoy G. Livermore Me
