Were you a member of the board of trustees of the asylum at one time? A. I was, was appointed the last of May 1877 in place of Mr. Wakefield, and remained till removed by Gov. Garcelon in Feby 1879. Q. have you also served as a member of the visiting committee on part of the council? A. Yes, I was appointed chairman of that committee by Gov. Dingley in 1875 and appointed by Gov. Connel in 1876.
