Whereas an Order of notice, has been served on the President Directors & Company of the Castine Bank, to appear on Thursday the fifteenth day of February instant for the purposes mentioned in said Order, Therefore Ordered that Messrs Page Potter & OBrien with such as the House may join be a Committee for the purpose of having said corporation, in respect to such facts as may appear relating to their situation & transactions & particularly those stated in the report of James Bridge & others appointed under a resolve of June last & to consider what further measures are advisable for the Legislature to adjust in regard to said Bank & to report by Bill or otherwise Read & passed. Sent down for concurrence. Came up concurred & Messrs Wheeler of Camden, Holland of Jay, Atherton of Prospect, Miller of St George & Eames of Lisbon joined.
