Dear Sir

I learn that the appointment of Indian Agent is to be made at the next session of the Council and that the names of several gentlemen will be presented for the Agency.

Albert Richardson Esq of Old Town is a candidate; and should you deem it consistent to appoint him, I think the Executive nor his numerous friends will have occasion to regret it.

Mr. Richardson is a gentleman of strict integrity, large sympathy, and every way qualified to care for and protect the interests of the Penobscot Indians — his appointment cannot fail in giving very general satisfaction.

Very Respectfully Yours
