the same proceeding according to the course of common law, having jurisdiction unlimited in amount, keeping a record of their proceedings, and having "the power of fine and imprisonment," and being a Court of Record for said County Solomon Barber[handwritten] aged seventy six[handwritten] years, who, being duly sworn, according to law, doth, on his oath, made the following declaration, in order to obtain the provision made by the acts of Congress, of the 18th March 1818, and the last 1st May, 1820, that he, the said, Solomon Barber[handwritten] enlisted for the term of nine months[handwritten] on the twentyfifth[handwritten] day of March[handwritten] in the year 1776[handwritten] in the state of Massachusetts[handwritten] in the company commanded by captain Silas Wilder[handwritten] in the regiment commanded by colonel Phinney[handwritten] in the line of the state of Massachusetts[handwritten] on the [squiggle] continental establishment; that he continued to serve in the said corps until the first day of January 1777[handwritten] when he was discharged from the said service, in Albany[handwritten] in the state of New York[handwritten] that his name has been placed on the pension list, and dropt therefrom on account of his property.
