[810] glad, when suddenly over the transom of her door came a shout of happy laughter. Upon investigation I found there were 4 or 5, I dont remember which certainly, 4 if not 5 attendants gathered there in the private sitting room having a good time generally. The noise subsided and I succeeded in getting her into a sleep again. Then came the noise again. Then I went out and said, "I think this is too bad. If it is not stopped I certainly shall report it to Dr. Harlow." I didn't do it. These attendants went away and quiet succeeded. I have been in that hospital many times when I have been in with some members of the house. Dr. Harlow I think, Dr. Neal I know, Dr. Sanborn I am sure has gone in when we havent been able to find the attendant in the hall any where. And I remember once when Dr. Harlow expressed great dissatisfaction, and he said "this wont do, this must not be" What result came of it I dont know. But still, I constantly found it so.
