[Indisposition of Speaker.]

[R.P Dunlap Esq chosen Speaker pro. tem.]

The Clerk communicated to the House information of the indisposition of the Speaker and his inability to attend upon the duties of the chair this day & suggested the expediency of electing a Speaker pro. tem. - and thereupon the House proceeded to the choice by ballot - the whole number of votes given in was 118 - necessary to a choice 60 - Robert P Dunlap haing 67 was declared chosen.

Report on the petition of William Young & als of Sullivan, to be incorporated as a Canal Company, granting notice, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Report - Kennebunk - Kennebunkport & Wells]

Report on the petitions of the towns of Kennebunk - of Kennebunkport & of Wells for authority to continue the bridge across Mousom River, granting lave for a bill - came down accepted for concurrence - & the House concurred.

[Rep. John P. Boyd]

Report on the petition of John P. Boyd to exempt certain lands from taxation, granting leave to withdraw, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Rep. sundry inh. of Frankfurt]

Report on the petition of sundry inhabitants of Frankfort to be annexed to Monroe, referring the subject to the next Legislature, came down accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.

Rep. fishery in Penobscot]

Report on the Bill, repealing an act entitled an act for the preservation of fish in Penobscot River & Bay & streams emptying into the same, referring the same to the next Legislature, came down accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.
