Bill to change the names of certain persons, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Resolve - authorizing sale of Gun House in Portland &c]

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary. Mr Speaker, The Senate have amended the engrossed Resolve authorizing the sale of a Gun House in Portland, by adding at the end the following proviso, "Provided such sale made within one year from the date hereof" and request the concurrence of the House - The House concurred & the Clerk was requested to acquaint the Senate therewith.

[Bill to prevent unnecessary costs in crime. pros.]

Bill to prevent unnecessary costs in criminal prosecutions, was read a 3d time & passed with an amendment at T to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

[Resolve - doings of Belgrade]

Resolve confirming the doings of Belgrade, which passed this House 5th inst. came from the Senate in a new draft for concurrence & the House concurred.

[Bill - costs in criminal pros.]

On motion of Mr Adams,

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send down the bill to prevent the creation of unnecessary costs in criminal prosecutions, which passed this House a few moments since [?] - read & passed.

The aforesaid Bill being laid on the speakers table, the same was taken up & amended by adding the words on paper X at the end of the last section. Sent up for concurrence.
