Mr Mark White of Standish presented his credentials was duly qualified and took his seat as a member of the House.

Ordered that Messrs White of Monmouth, Burr & Wood be a committee to contract with some person to perform the duties of Door Keeper & Page the present session - read & passed.

[Pet. - Saml Garland]

Ordered that the Senate be requested to send to this House the petition of Samuel Garland in behalf of the Cong. Soc. in Parsonsfield for leave to sell ministerial lands presented at the January session of 1821 together with the accompanying papers - read, passed & sent up.

[votes for Governor declared]

The joint committee appointed to examine the return of votes for Governor &c reported the whole number given in to be 19,400 - necessary to a choice 9701 - that Albion K. Parris Esqr had 18,550 and was chosen. The report accepted in the Senate came down for concurrence and the House concurred.

[Report of Committee on Returns of Members]

The Committee appointed to receive & examine the returns of members, reported that all the persons whose names are borne on schedule A are duly returned - that Joseph P Parker, John Watts, Daniel Quinnam Peter Libby & Joseph Moore appear also to be duly elected although they have have not legal evidence of their election - that Rufus K.J. Porter & Thomas Allen are both returned as members from the District of Phillips, Freeman & Kingfield although said District is entitled to
