Ordered, that Messrs Francis, White & Gowen be a committee to consider the expediency of directing the Selectmen of the several towns in this State to return to the next Legislature, whether any & if any, what, quantity of land has been granted by Government for religious purposes - and also for the use and benefit of schools within their respective towns, with a statement of the annual income arising from the same - read & passed.
