[Bill - States Prison &c]

Message from the Senate by Mr Smith their Secretary. Mr Speaker, The Senate have amended the Bill to provide for the government of the States Prison & for the punishment of Convicts in the 17. Sec. at B. and request the concurrence of the House - and the House concurred.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Bills - to incorporate the Sebago Pond Steam Navigation Company - laying a tax on the several Counties - which were severally passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence

[Resolve finally passed]

The same committee reported as duly engrossed Resolve - making an appropriation for carrying into effect the act respecting the public lands - which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence

[Committee to inform Governor all business is passed upon -]

An order came from the Senate for concurrence appointing Messrs McDonald & Witham, with such as the House may join a committee to wait on the Governor & inform him that the Legislature have passed upon all the public business before them and have agreed to adjourn without day, and that the Committee enquire of the Governor whether he has any further communication to make to the Legislature at this time - and the House concurred & Messrs Isaac Adams, Fillebrown & Shaw were joined.
