IN SENATE, 17th DECEMBER, 1823. [Italics]Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Georgia in General Assembly met, and it is hereby resolved by the authority of the same,[/Italics] That the following shall be proposed as an amendment of the Constitution of the United States:

And that his Excellency the Governor be, and he is hereby requested to communicate this resolution to the Governors of the different States, with a request that the same may be submitted to their respective Legislatures; and that he do also communicates the same to our Senators and Representatives in Congress.
