Ordered that Messrs. Jarvis of Ellsworth McCrate of Nobleborough Pierce of Portland Bronson of Anson Hobart of Edmunds Moore of Dover Dumont of Hallowell Woodman of Buxton Bolster of Rumford and True of Montville be a Committee with such as the Senate may join to enquire into the expediency of passing Resolutions expressive of the Sentiments of this Legislature as to the removal of the public deposits from the Bank of the United States When Mr. Dumont of Hallowell moved an indefinite postponement of the Order And the question on so postponeing [postponing] the same was taken by Yeas and Nays and decided as follows Yeas 43 Nays 103 The Order then passed sent up for concurrance [concurrence] (see appendix page)

Remonstrance of the town of New Sharon against Petition of the inhabitants of Farmington -of inhabitants of Chesterville against that town being included in a new County -of Selectmen of Chesterville in behalf of said town against a new County were severally read and referred to the Committee on Division and Alteration of Counties sent up for concurrance [concurrence]

Petition of the inhabitants of North Yarmouth for removal of obstructions in Royals River was read and referred to the Committee on Interior Fisheries sent up for concurrance [concurrence]
