On motion of Mr. Abbott of Vassalborough Ordered that the Clerk of this House be directed to transmit to the Selectmen of the town of Winslow intelligence of the death of the Hon. Joshua Cushman Representative from that town that the inhabitants thereof may avail themselves of their constitutional right of filling the vacancy thus ocasioned [occasioned]; by a new election Read and passed
The Committee on engrossed Bills report as duly engrossed Bill to incorporate the Androscogin [Androscoggin] Bank " in addition to an Act for the prevention of damage by fire and the safe keeping of G. Powder " to incorporate the Bangor Dexter Stage Company " to cede to the United States of America Jurisdiction over the Arsenal at Augusta which were Severally passed to be enacted Sent up for concurrance [concurrence]
The same Committee report as duly engrossed Resolve for the relief of Edward Gray which were severally finally passed
The House reconsider their vote of yesterday referring the Petitions of Levi Goodrich and others
