Bill to increase the Capital Stock of the Bangor Commercial Bank was read the second time and a passage refused, in concurrence.

Resolve for establishing a Board of Internal Improvements came up from the House further amended and the same was indefinitely postponed. Sent down for concurrence.

A message was received from the Governor transmitting the report of Sewall Prescott Esq. Agent appointed under the "Resolve" of March 3d, 1822 "for completing and repairing the Canada Road," together with his account - and that the same due on the account has been allowed by the Council, but cannot be paid from the Treasury until an appropriation shall have been made by the Legislature for that purpose; and the same was referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting, on the part of the Senate, of Messrs. Latham, Prescott and Mantor, with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred, and Messrs. Steward of Anson, Perkins of Kennebunk Port, Call of Bangor, Underwood of Fayette, and Dillingham of Turner are joined.
