A communication was received from the Secretary of State, informing the two Houses, that in compliance with their order, he had procured the printing of the "Act defining certain rights and duties of Rail Road corporation, " which are ready for distribution -- read and sent down.
Mr. Mantor, from the Committee on Interior Waters, reported reference to next Legislature on petition of William Woodman -- read and accepted Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Remonstrance of Jonathan Combs Jr. and others against the Vassalborough and Sidney Mill Dam -- read and referred to the Committee on Interior Waters, in concurrence.
Bill to incorporate the Machias Bank, on motion of Mr. Jarvis, was taken up and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Bill establishing the Salary of the Attorney General was read twice. The Senate nonconcur the House in refusing said Bill a passage and amend the same and pass said Bill to be engrossed as amended. Sent down for concurrence.
