Mother i thought i would write you a few lines to let you know that i am well and hope theas few lines will find you the same of all i have to do is to take care of two horses and stand stable guard from 9 oclock untill 12 in the eavning one of the Officers lamed his horse he came to me and said he would give me 25 Dollars if i would cure him the Dockter could not so i took him and i have got him most well
