Witness: I dont know, but I think it was 1877 or 1878. Mr. Lakin can tell. Since that time I have visited the hospital occasionally until this winter. I have been there until within a very few weeks until it has become so painful in coming and going away that I haven't been. I felt as though it was inuring myself and perhaps doing no good to anybody, and I haven't been there so frequently. But I have learned by my own observation that the attendants were neglectful, and I felt troubled about it. I remember when I used to be in the patients room that some times, at a certain time when she was sick
