The committee to whom was referred "an act relating to the punishment of convicts," reported that it ought not to pass - The report accepted in Senate came down for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Report - Aaron Porter]

Report on petition of Aaron Porter, granting leave to withdraw came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Secretary to communicate the number of Deaf & Dumb.]

Ordered that the Secretary of State be requested to communicate to this House, the number of deaf and dumb persons living in this State, which may have been returned to his Office, conformably to a Resolve of the last Legislature - was read & passed. Sent up for concurrence.
