Resolve in favor of Heman Nye - was read a 2d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

[Committee - limitation of certain offices]

Ordered that Messrs Parsons of E. Pond & Sweat with such as the Senate may join, a committee to take into consideration the expediency of passing a law limiting the term of certain Offices - read & passed - Sent up for concurrence.

[Report - John Gordon & A. Lewis]

Report on petition of John Gordon & Archelaus Lewis, granting an order of notice, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Report - on Treasrs Bond.]

The committee to whom was referred the Bond of Elias Thomas Esquire Treasurer of State for the faithful performance of his duty in the office reported that the Bond is duly executed & the sureties ample & that it ought to be accepted - read & accepted - Sent up for concurrence.

[Committee - chairman of Referees to administer Oaths -]

Ordered, that Messrs. Ingalls, Eveleth & Riggs be a committee to take into consideration the expediency of authorizing the chairman of referees to administer oaths to witnesses in certain cases - read & passed.

The committee on the petition of Robert Boyd & als, reported a reference to the next Legislature - report accepted.
