Ordered that a message be sent to the Senate requesting the Bill respecting the endorsement of writs - read & passed.

Messrs Dunn of Poland - Whittemore of Hebron - Woodbury of Minot - Randall of Harpswell - Parsons of New Gloucester obtained leave of absence after to day.

[Bill - Militia &c -]

Bill additional to an act to organize, govern & discipline the Militia of this State - came from the Senate further amended for concurrence - The House reconsidered their vote referring the Bill to the next Legislature, concurred the Senate in their amendments & further amended the Bill at R. Sent up for concurrence.

[Bill - Sessions]

Bill further to define the power of Courts of Sessions, came from the Senate passed to be engrossed - The House refused a passage & referred the subject to the next Legislature. Sent up for concurrence.

[Reports]

Reports on petition of Samuel Taylor & others - of Joseph Whitney & others. granting leave to withdraw, came from the Senate accepted for concurrence & the House concurred.

[Bill - endorsement of Writs]

Bill respecting the endorsement of Writs, was laid on the speakers table by the Messenger of the Senate - The House took the same into a new draft & passed the Bill to be engrossed & Sent it up for concurrence.
