[Indisposition of Speaker.]

[R.P Dunlap Esq chosen Speaker pro. tem.]

The Clerk communicated to the House information of the indisposition of the Speaker and his inability to attend upon the duties of the chair this day, & suggested the expediency of electing a Speaker pro. tem - and thereupon the House proceeded to the choice by ballot - the whole number of votes given in was 118 - necessary to a choice 60 - Robert P Dunlap having 67 was declared chosen.

Report on the petition of William Young & als of Sullivan, to be incorporated as a Canal Company, granting notice, came down accepted for concurrence - and the House concurred.

[Report - Kennebunk - Kennebunkport & Wells]

Report on the petitions of the towns of Kennebunk - of Kennebunkport & of Wells for authority to continue the bridge across Mousom River, granting leave for a bill - came down accepted for concurrence - & the House concurred.

Report on the Bill, repealing an act entitled an Act for the preservation of fish in Penobscot River & bay & streams emptying into the same, referring the same to the next Legislature, came down accepted for concurrence and the House concurred.
