Your modesty is charming!-- tor only today, when the new Macmillan fall catalog reaches us, do we discover that you have a book coming out this fall.

The delightful part of THIEF ISLAND is that its setting is Maine; and you probably surmise that in addition to congratulations and good wishes we have on our mind the Maine Author Collection. May we hope for an inscribed copy?

THIEF ISLAND will certainly go into our traveling libraries. It sounds wonderful.; and promises many hours or entertainment for young readers.
