After calling upon the Surgeon General, Pay Master Genl. etc. a number of times in regard to my pay as Surgeon to the 2d from 8th Aug. to Sept 1. as certified by Col Roberts, they decided that they could not recognize but one Surgeon, Dr Allen, & recommended me again to apply to you & then the govt here would arrange it with the State.
