I hereby Certify [bold], That Moses Kilgore Jr. [handwritten] of Lovell [handwritten]  Maine, a Private [handwritten]  of Captain David R. Ripley [handwritten]  Company of Riflemen [handwritten] , in the Detachment commanded by Col. Orison Ripley [handwritten]  of the drafted Militia of Maine, was born in Lovell [handwritten]  in the State of  Maine [handwritten]  is aged 22  [handwritten]  years,  5 [handwritten]  feet and 9  [handwritten]  inches high,  dark [handwritten]  complexion, dark [handwritten]  eyes,  dark [handwritten]  hair, and by profession, when called into actual service by the State of Maine for the protection of the Northeastern Frontier, a Farmer [handwritten]

He was called into actual service by order of the Governor of Maine, and rendezvoused at Augusta [handwritten]  Maine, on the sixth [handwritten]  day of  March [handwritten]  A.D. 1839, being drafted from Captain Parris Walker's [handwritten]  Company of Riflemen [handwritten]  in the Third [handwritten]  Regiment, Second [handwritten]  Brigade, and  Sixth [handwritten]  Division of the Militia of Maine, and then residing at  Lovell [handwritten]  in said State; and having faithfully and honestly served the period required, is now entitled to honorable discharge.
