Camp Jameson Halls Hill Va Jany 20th 1862
Sir I am called upon again to inform you of the death of a member of my company. Isaac W. Deane a Private died in camp about nine oclock yesterday evening of congestion of the lungs. He was enisted by Lieut James Deane on the 16th of October 1861 and resided in the town of Etna Maine, was twenty years of age, five feet nine inches in height and by occupation when enlisted a farmer. Was last paid by paymaster J [Tone?] up to the 1st of January 1862. He leaves a few little trifles which I shall forward to his friends at once. he was not
