Bill additional to promote the sale and settlement of Public Lands, (reported in new draft by Mr Fish from the Select Committee to which said Bill had been committed with special instructions) was read once and passed to be engrossed.

 Sent down for concurrence.

The Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals reported notice to next Legislature on petition of Zadock Humphrey and others- read and accepted, in concurrence.

 On motion of Mr Bartlett

Ordered, that there be taken from the files of the Senate the report of the Committee on Banks and Banking on petition of the Directors of Commercial Bank at Bangor for increase of Capital, with the accompanying papers, and that the same be recommitted to the same Committee - read and a passage refused.
