Agreeably to assignment the two Houses assembled in convention in the Representatives Chamber and proceeded by ballot to the election of a Treasurer of State. The whole number of ballots given in was One hundred and ninety two - necessary to constitute an election ninety seven - Asa Redington had one hundred and twenty four votes and was declared duly elected Treasurer of State for the current political year.
