267. Monday, March 9, 1835. The Committee on the Judiciary reported leave to withdraw on petition of Selectmen of Houlton; and legislation inexpedient on petition of C.C. Wilcox and others, and on an order relative to the expediency of an Act to authorize the inhabitants of Matinicus Island to vote for State officers -- read and accepted, in concurrence.
Report of Mr. Emmons, from the committee on the Judiciary, giving leave to withdraw on petition of the Recorder of the Municipal Court of Portland was taken up, read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Petition of Zadock Humphrey and others, praying that the Commissioners of Cumberland County, with the City of Portland, may be authorized to lay out a road over tide waters and over Tukey's Bridge, so called --- read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, in concurrence.
Bill to change the name of certain persons, " incorporating the Somerset Ferry Company, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.
