Maj. G.M. Elliott, Brunswick, Maine.
My dear Major:
Bill was in this morning saying you would like transportation in order to come to Augusta and make your report on the Halifax trip.
I am very anxious to have this report made to the Governor and Council and also for you to give them a talk on the work done there and in regard to the proposition of the field hospital. This I would like to have done at the next meeting of the Council and will let you know the date later. Please write immediately to all the doctors in the unit asking them to send in their accounts to me as I wish to embody them in this report so that at the next meeting the same may be paid.
