Your kind letter came safe at hand I was very glad to hear from you againe We are all well but Charlie he is quite sick but hope it is nothing but a bad cold. Allura is down to Mr Young's but will be at home tuesday knight Mrs [illegible] has been here today. she has had a letter from strong your Grandfather Hardy is dead One more good Old man gone but he sleeps the sleepe of the christian and when Jesus comes he will bring him with him The weather is very fine and the passing verry poor Ashley is here now Mother is at Durham John has ben home bu he is gone againe
