Col Reed of Waldoborough was charged with a message to the Senate, to inform them that the House had made choices of Benjamin Ames Esq for their Speaker and James Loving Child for their Clerk.

Mr Redington of Vassalboro, Mr Smith of Wiscasset, Mr Sprague of Hallowell, Mr Moody of Wells and Mr Greenleaf of Portland were appointed a committee to wait on the President of the convention, and inform him of the persons whom this House had appointed for their Speaker and Clerk.
