John S.P. Jones, Jr. Lebanon, Me. Dear Mr Jones: We would like to have you endeavor to secure a little information for us concerning a youn [misspelled] man you registered as an alien in the Town of Lebanon on July 2.

It would be advisable to secure the desired information indirectly as we do not want the party in question to know that we are interested in him.

Gave his address as East Lebanon, care of A.H. Wentworth. Claimed his last employer was David Lloyd George of Churt, England. Occupation, "Research". New York address, care of Mrs. Chalmers, 130 Fort Washington, Ave.

We would like to have you ascertain if possible just what this man's occupation or vocation is, what was the natore of his employment with David Lloyd George, what is his means of support, how long does he intend to reside in Lebanon, does he have any callers, what about his mail (incoming and outgoing), where was he before coming to the U.S.?
