they had bestowed upon him, and would enter upon

the duties of his appointment this day.

a Convention of the two Houses this

day at 11 Oclock for the purpose of coming to

the choice of Seven Councillors to advise the

Governor in the Executive part of the Government

House informing that the Senate concur in their

proposition  aforesaid.

[Report of Committee] Mr. Dunlap from the Committee appointed to wait upon the Governor and inform him that the Legislature are proceeding upon the public business of the State, and are ready to receive any communication he may be pleased to make to them, Reported that they had performed the duties assigned them, and that the Governor was pleased to say that he would this day at 12 Oclock communicate with the two Houses of the Legislature by written messages.

Mr. Green from the Committee appointed to wait upon the Revd. Elijah Kellogg and inform him of his election as Chaplain of the Senate, Reported that they had attended to the duties assigned them, and that he was pleased to say that he felt very grateful for the favorable notice they had bestowed upon him, and would enter upon the duties of his appointment this day.

[Messages] A message was received from the House proposing a Convention of the two Houses this day at 11 Oclock for the purpose of coming to the choice of Seven Councillors to advise the Governor in the Executive part of the Government the present political year, and also to elect a Secretary of State.

On motion Ordered that a message be sent to the House informing that the Senate concur in their proposition aforesaid.
