Dear Sir
You will remember that I wrote you at the commencement of the war offering the Ex Tigers which company went in the 2nd Rigiment I could not leave my business so as to go at that time. but have so arranged now that I can leave better, and would be extremley Happy to have your permmision to Raise a Company in this section for the 7th Rigiment now forming at Augusta.
There are some smart young men here that want to go into it and I think that we can get up a good company that will compair favorably with my company that has left the State.
