concurrence of the House - and the House concurred - and thereupon, on motion, the Speaker read the causes assigned for the removal of said Rogers and 11 oclock this day was assigned to consider the same and hear the defense of said Rogers thereto and Messrs Todd, Dunlap & Leach appointed managers on the part of the House.

Ordered that James L Child Esquire, the clerk of this House, notify Messrs Fessenden & Deblois Counsel to James M Rogers, that the House have assigned 11 o'clock this day to hear said Rogers in his defence to the charges preferred against him, at the bar of this House and that Messrs Todd, Dunlap & Leach have been appointed Managers - read & passed.

[Invitation to Senate to attend investigation]

The Clerk was charged with a message, to inform the Senate that the House are about to proceed to investigate the causes stated for the removal of James M Rogers &c, and that the House have assigned seats for the accommodation of that body if they see fit to be present during the investigation.
