Should you find any persons committing trespass upon the public lands you will take them and their teams implements as provisions and bring them to this place

Should you find no one cutting timber you will take the south line of township D in the first range and explore for timber and measure and take account of all you find cut down carried[?] off or destroyed meaning the same in the usual manner that logs are measured to be sawed for boards.

And make return of the same on your arrival here

You will not [?] the East line of the State on any amount nor allow your men to do so
