Mills [handwritten]  Company of Riflemen [handwritten] , in the Detachment commanded by  Maj Gen Isaac Hodsdon [handwritten]  of the drafted Militia of Maine, was born in Milo [handwritten]  in the State of Maine [handwritten]  is aged 22  [handwritten]  years,  5[handwritten]  feet and  11 [handwritten]  inches high,  light [handwritten]  complexion, black [handwritten]  eyes,  dark [handwritten]  hair, and by profession, when called into actual service by the State of Maine for the protection of the Northeastern Frontier, a Farmer [handwritten]

He was called into actual service by order of the Governor of Maine, and rendezvoused at Bangor [handwritten]  Maine, on the twentieth [handwritten]  day of  February [handwritten]  A.D. 1839, being drafted from Captain Wm. H. Mills [handwritten]  Company of Riflemen [handwritten]  in the Second [handwritten]  Regiment,  First [handwritten]  Brigade, and  Third [handwritten]  Division of the Militia of Maine, and then residing at Bangor [handwritten]  in said State; and having faithfully and honestly served the period required, is now entitled to honorable discharge.
