On motion of Mr Jarvis, Ordered, that twenty eight copies of Lieut. Col. Long's Report of a Reconnoissance for a Rail Raid from Quebec to the Atlantic be distributed to each member of the Senate, fifty six copies to the President of the Senate, the same number of copies to the Speaker of the House, seven copies to each member of the House of Representatives and to each of the officers of State, twenty five copies to be deposited in the Library and the remainder be deposited in the Office of the Secretary of State, to be distributed in such manner as the Governor and Council shall from time to time direct. Sent down for concurrence.
On motion of Mr. Greene, Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into expediency of providing by law, for the appointment by the Governor and Council, of a Commissioner or Commissioners in any State when it may be deemed necessary, before whom Deeds and other instruments to be recorded in this State, may be acknowledged, and before whom depositions to be used in this State may be taken.
