Petition of Levi Cutler and others praying to be incorporated for the purpose of cutting a canal from the Kennebec Waters to Casco Bay -- read and referred to the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, in concurrence.
Petition of Gideon J. Newton for a law authorizing plantations to sell their public lands for a school fund -- read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary in concurrence.
